About Douglas Hammel

After 12 years in financial services, I joined Allstate in 2014 because I discovered how much I like helping customers as they make decisions that help protect what matters most. I especially appreciate the opportunity to serve the community of Fishers, a clean, progressive community in the Indianapolis metro area with lots of museums, sports teams and friendly people.

My passion for helping people shines through in all areas of my life. For example, I’m a member of the Rotary Club of Brownsburg, and every week, I volunteer at local high schools, helping students through the Rotary Interact Club.

Kids hold a special place in my heart, and by sharing my life experiences, I hope to encourage them to consider paths of study or employment that they may not have considered.

Volunteer work is a family commitment. My wife, Jeanette, and I mentor couples who are facing difficulties in their marriage through our church, Connection Point Christian Church in Brownsburg. We also volunteer with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. Outside of our volunteer work, we spend a lot of time with our four grandchildren.

Football is a passion of mine, and in the fall, you can find me on a football field as an Indiana High School Athletic Association football official – I have refereed four state football finals. I also love watching professional sports teams play, like the Indianapolis Colts, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Indiana Pacers.

Stop by and see me! I look forward to getting to know you.
